Earthero Studio x 2timesperday
The T-shirts are made with deadstock 100% cotton fabric, 2times (@2timesperday), a Hong Kong local artist designed the print-on illustrations based on the exhibition theme “Now or Never” with dark humour to convey messages around the topic of Environmental problems.
The linen safari jackets are a small and limited collection sourced from Refinery (a now closed-down Hong Kong Menswear shop), upcycled with illustrations-turned-embroidery that changes the style but not the shape of these jackets.
"Environmental issues are often discussed in a serious and heavy manner, which can cause people to resist change or become biased toward different viewpoints.
As a result, I use my consistent approach of humor and irony to talk about these issues. For example, I personify the Earth, meanwhile using funny and exaggerated methods to express its feelings and situation which provides a more casual and humorous way to think about the environmental issues.
Through this project, I wish it can eliminate people's biases toward environmental issues and raise awareness about them. And I believe that art is an effective way to achieve this goal.", 2timesperday
